Awards
Requirements 2011 - 2012
- The club has furthered the association’s purposes and has
adhered to the association’s constitution and by-laws as well as its
policies.
- The club has conducted at least one service activity during the
year. Please explain briefly the activity conducted.
- The club president has attended all of the following Lions
meetings during the year. (In case of emergency, a representative of
the club president may attend on behalf of the president.) The
District Governor may waive the requirement to attend Club officer
orientation/training upon written request from a Club Secretary for
a president with long term experience in that office.
- At least two zone meetings.
- Club officer orientation/training.
- District, multiple district, or international convention.
- The club has submitted each of the following reports to
International Headquarters by the due dates:
- Monthly Membership Report (C-23-A)
- Annual Club Officer Report (PU-101)
- District PU-101
- The club is in good standing with Lions Clubs International, the
multiple district and the district at the end of the fiscal year,
June 30.
- The club has achieved a net membership gain by June 30.
- New members were properly inducted, oriented and involved in
service activities and/or committee work.
- The club has made a contribution to LCIF.

2012.
Club Secretary 100% Award
Requirements 2011
- 2012
- The Club should have no balance due Lions Clubs
International greater than $50 as of May 31, 2012 and all
International and State (including District) dues are paid within
sixty (60) days of the billing date.
- The International and District PU101 forms must
be submitted to the International Office and the District Governor
by May 1, 2012.
- All Monthly Membership Reports (MMRs) must be
filed, electronically or by U.S. mail, with Lions Clubs International
with a copy to the Governor and respective Zone Chair. Mailed
reports are required to be mailed no later than the 20th day of the
current/reporting month and electronically filed reports are to be
filed by the last day of the current/reporting month.
- The Club Secretary must attend at least two (2)
Zone Meetings for the Clubs in their respective Zone.
- The Club Secretary must attend the Secretary’s
seminar(s), either at LIP ‘n Lunch or a Club Officers Training
Seminar conducted by the District 1-F Leadership Chair. The District
Governor may waive this requirement upon written request from a Club
Secretary with long term experience in that office.
- The Club Secretary must attend either the
District 1-F Convention or MD-1 Convention between July 1, 2011 &
June 30, 2012.
- The Club Secretary must also fulfill any two (2)
of the following five (5) options during the Lion’s year of 2011 -
2012
- Complete correctly and file on time all
other reports required of the Club Secretary by Lions
Clubs International or by the District Governor.
- The Club Secretary may personally sponsor
one (1) or more
new members between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012.
- The Club Secretary may attend one of the
following:
a) District 1-F Pig Pen Derby
b) District 1-F Bowling Tournament
c) District 1-F Golf Event
- Sending the Club Newsletters to the
District Governor in a timely
manner.
- Attend the Lions of Illinois MD-1 Forum.
Service Excellence Awards
Richard Kerscher Award:
Presented to the Lion that best exemplifies Lionistic
service. Nomination by Club President required.
John Greener Award:
Awarded to a Lion that best exemplifies the Lions Code
of Ethics in their daily life. Nomination by any Lion.
A.G. “Ang” Marcheschi Award:
Awarded by the Governor to the club(s) that deserves
special recognition for exemplary service to the
community, significant growth and/or operational
improvement or has successfully presented an individual
project. Selected by the District Governor. May be
awarded to more than one club.
Robert Abbott Award:
Awarded to the Club Officer that best exemplifies
Attention to duty and excellence in performance of their
duties. Nomination by a Zone Chair.
Milt Tuttle Award:
Awarded to District Cabinet Member that best exemplifies
dedication to service of the individual clubs and Lions
of District 1F and is truly a “Servant Leader”. Selected
by the District Governor.
